Are you a fan of baseball/Softball? Well, I have good news! High School Baseball/Softball is set to begin at the end on this month and I could not be more excited about it. We will be posting team schedules in the next couple of days but you can also find them inside our weekly paper that comes out every Wednesday.
Here are the teams that we will be covering for Baseball/Softball: Austin, Crothersville, Scottsburg, Borden, Charlestown, Christian Academy of Indiana, Henryville, Silver Creek, Rock Creek Academy, New Washington, Eastern (Pekin) Salem, and West Washington. Please keep in mind that the weather is unpredictable during the season and games could get cancelled/postponed at any time.
It is also hard to find umpires for baseball/softball so, games could cancelled/postponed for that reason as well. I do want to encourage everyone to go out and support the teams. Usually the only sports that get any attention is football and basketball.
The game of baseball/softball means so much to these student athletes and I know they would love your support. Keep in mind also that most fields do have bleachers, but you are also encouraged to bring lawn chairs unless the school says otherwise. I hope everyone has a great season.
