On March 7, the Charlestown Pirates faced off against the Brownstown Central Braves in the semi-final round of sectional 30 which was hosted by Charlestown. The two teams had met in the regular season at Brownstown in a game where the Pirates came up just short, losing 63-60.

The first quarter saw the Braves race out to a 10-3 lead with 2:41 left in the quarter. They were forcing the Pirates into tough jump shots and keeping them out of the lane. The Braves dominated the beginning of the second quarter as they surged to a 27-16 lead, but the Pirates refused to quit.

The Pirates went on a run of their own to score the next eleven points and tie that game at 27 as the time expired on the half. This game of yo-yo continued all through the third quarter with Brownstown forcing the Pirates to play from behind as they would build a seven to nine point lead and see the Pirates cut it back to within five. The score was 48-44. Brownstown lead, at the end of the third.

The fourth quarter saw the Pirates getting within a point at 52-51 before Brownstown pushed it back out to a six point game with 3:39 to go. The Pirates would get within two at 61-59 with twelve seconds to go, but Brownstown was able to knock down their free throws and pull out the 63-59 victory.

The Pirates were led in scoring by Anthony Fresh with 35 points on 10/18 from the field and 6/6 at the free throw line. The Pirates finished the season with an 18-6 record. With several key players set to return next year it could be even more exciting for the 2025-2026 season.
