
Human trafficking investigation leads to arrest, rescue of four victims

A large-scale human trafficking investigation in Jeffersonville has led to the arrest of one person and the rescue of four victims, authorities announced Monday, March 24.
The Jeffersonville Police Department (JPD) said the investigation began after multiple tips regarding possible prostitution and human trafficking at Eva's Massage, located at 1002 East 10th Street. Acting on these reports, law enforcement agencies executed multiple search warrants on the morning of March 24.
During raids, officers rescued four victims from two locations: Eva's Massage in Jeffersonville and another business in New Albany. The victims were immediately provided with medical attention and connected to support services.
Police also arrested 62-year-old Xing Song in connection with the investigation. She faces multiple charges, including promoting human sex trafficking, promoting prostitution, and corrupt business influence.
Authorities have not released further details about the victims but confirmed that the investigation is ongoing. Law enforcement officials emphasized their commitment to combating human trafficking and urged the public to report any suspicious activity.
