School bus replacement plan approved by SCSD2 board

The Scott County School District 2 (SCSD2) board approved the 2025 school bus replacement plan, in a recent meeting. The plan includes up to $250,000 for the purchase of new or used buses. This plan is part of the five-year bus replacement strategy required to be reviewed and adopted annually. The board held a public hearing on September 24 and will now submit the plan to the Department of Local Government Finance (DLGF) as required by Indiana Code.

The funds from the 2025 budget will be used to replace buses as needed, and appropriations can be adjusted between funds if necessary. The board hopes to secure good deals on the bus purchases to maximize the budget.
