From stray to stunning...Lady Licorice is ready for her furever home.
When Lady Licorice first arrived, she was just a shadow of the dog she is today – skinny, malnourished, and uncertain of the world around her. Found as a stray, her thin frame and weary eyes told the story of a pup who had been on her own far too long. But with the healing power of love, nourishing meals, and a safe place to rest her head, Lady Licorice has blossomed into a gentle, affectionate soul.
Today, her coat is sleek and soft, and she's always ready with a kiss for anyone kind enough to offer a scratch behind the ears. She is still a dainty 33 pounds – small for her guessed mix of whippet and lab – but she's slowly making her way toward a healthy weight.
What Lady Licorice lacks in size, she more than makes up for in heart. She is crate-trained, housebroken, and gets along beautifully with other dogs. Because of her love for zoomies and the ability to run like the wind, a securely fenced yard is a must.
She may not have had the best start in life, but Lady Licorice is ready for a fresh chapter-one filled with companionship, belly rubs, and a family to call her own. If you think you might be the family for her, please fill out the online application at www.hsscottcountyin.com and hit the submit button or email emelfoster@frontier.com. Charity the loving home she deserves—and gain a purring friend for life.
