The City of Scottsburg is officially inviting contractors to submit bids for the 2024 Cured-in-Place Pipelining Project, a key infrastructure improvement that aims to enhance the city's wastewater management. Through the Board of Public Works and Safety, the city is calling for sealed bid packets, which will be accepted until 11 a.m. on November 22, 2024, at the Clerk-Treasurer's Office in City Hall, located at 2 East McClain Avenue, Scottsburg.
The project requires contractors to provide a unit price bid for all materials and work specified in the contract documents. The successful bidder will complete the project under one comprehensive contract, covering all construction, labor, materials, permits, insurance, bonds, and compliance with federal and state requirements, including wage rates and affirmative action policies under Executive Order 11246.
Prospective bidders can review plans and specifications for the project at City Hall. Each bid must include a certified check or bid bond totaling at least 5% of the highest bid amount to ensure project commitment. The city reserves the right to adjust project quantities, reject any or all bids, and accept the bid that best meets project goals within budget constraints. Interested parties are welcome to attend the bid opening.
Contractors looking to submit a bid are advised to evaluate all project documents and inspect site conditions in advance. The winning bid will be selected based on the lowest responsible and responsive offer, with a required 90-day validity period post-bid opening.
