Troy Allen Paswater, 59, of Austin, passed away at his home Wednesday, March 12, 2025.
He was born July 23, 1965, in Scottsburg to Nelson Paswater and Mary Beth Baldwin Coffman. He grew up in Scottsburg, attending Scottsburg High School. He worked as welder for many years. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing, classical rock but his greatest love was for his family, especially his grandbabies.
Surviving to cherish his memories are his children, Thomas Paswater (Spencer) of Charlestown and Laurel Miller (Marty) of Oak Hill, West Virginia, his partner, Matilda “Tilly” Jordan of Austin, his mother, Mary Beth Coffman of Jeffersonville, his sister, Joy Paswater and his grandchildren, Emerson and Barry Paswater, Nicholas, Alaina, Benjamin, and Kelton Miller.

Louella Bowling Sims, 88 of Austin, Indiana passed away March 13, 2025, at Hampton Oaks Health Campus in Scottsburg.
She was born April 4, 1936, to Edmond and Nancy Bowling in Bowlingtown, Kentucky. She came to Indiana as a child and grew up in Scottsburg, graduating from Scottsburg High School in 1955. She lived most of her life in Columbus, Indiana. She loved spending time with her family, taking particular joy in the time she spent with the Hens and Chicks. She was especially proud of the quilts that they made and donated to the We Care auction. She loved playing cards, whether it was Tripoli at Sims family functions, Rummy at the dining room table, or Euchre whenever she could find willing victims. She was an avid bird watcher, a basketball fan, following IU, Columbus North, and the Scottsburg Warriors. She was a fan of Tony Stewart and always acted as the family photographer.
Louella was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Larry D. Sims in 2000 as well as two brothers and a sister.
Surviving to cherish her memory are her son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Maxine Sims, her grandchildren, Michael C. E. (Heather) and Kaitlyn E. M. Sims, and great-grandson, Oliver Sims as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends visited with Louella’s family from on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, and one hour prior to the service on Thursday at Collins Funeral Home, Scottsburg, Indiana. Interment will follow at Spurgeon Cemetery.

Dianna Joyce Sipe, 61, of Scottsburg, Indiana passed away March 16, 2025, at University of Louisville Hospital.
She was born July 27, 1963, in Chicago, Illinois to Donald and Rose Alcorne West. She loved spending time outdoors gardening and enjoying her Koi Pond. She loved the beach, her fur babies and especially her family.
Dianna is survived by her husband, Mark Sipe of Scottsburg, her parents, Don and Rose West, her children, Amanda Hamblin of Scottsburg, David Owen of Milton, Florida, and Sarah Akers of Austin, her sisters, Donna Powell of Charlestown, Dee Tackett of Sellersburg and Debbie West of Scottsburg, and grandchildren, Morgan Owen, of Scottsburg, Laurissa Owen, Zephaniah Owen, Lilly Owen and Hekekiah Owen all of Florida and Jared Akers and Lilly Akers of Austin.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Knights of Columbus in Scottsburg on April 12, 2025, from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm.

Kenneth Raye Kirby, 89, of Scottsburg passed away Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at The Waters of Scottsburg.
He was born July 21, 1935, in Lexington, Kentucky to Asa Forest and Ona McKenney Kirby. After graduating high school, Ken served in the US Army Reserves. He married Imogene “Jean” Hampton on July 12, 1958. He spent his life managing farms. He managed the University of Kentucky Coldstream Farm and managed the Indiana Feed Lots in Sheridan. He retired from Kitchen Kompact cabinet factory in Jeffersonville where he built cabinets. He enjoyed collecting pocketknives and old stone crocks.
Ken is survived by his children, Steven Kirby of Mexico and Doug and Pam Kirby of Underwood, grandchildren, Jessica Kirby of Dubuque, Iowa and Jacob Kirby of Austin.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Imogene “Jean” Kirby in 2014, his parents and three brothers, James Peyton, Paul Thomas and William Charles Kirby.

Robin Gay Taylor, 68, of Scottsburg, passed away, Thursday, March 20, 2025 in Louisville, KY.
She was born October 1, 1956 in Corbin, Kentucky. She moved around with her family until settling in Scottsburg. She worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at area nursing homes and ResCare. She enjoyed the outdoors, camping and spending time with her family. She also enjoyed reading and playing bingo. Robin is preceded in death by her parents, Calvin Roberts, Jr. and Barbara Ridener Box, and a brother, Carl Roberts.
Surviving to cherish her memories are her husband of almost 50 years, Joseph Taylor, Sr., her sons, Joseph Taylor, Jr. and A.J. (Mary Hoyt) Taylor and her sister, Jackie Roberts.
She is also survived by her grandchildren, Robert Taylor, Cheyenne Taylor, Joseph Taylor, III, Ariel Taylor, Conner Taylor and Aaron Taylor and great-grandchildren, Neveah Taylor, Avery Taylor and Riley Jenkins.

Ronnie Lee Boling, 82, of Rising Sun passed away Saturday, March 22, 2025, at The Waters of Scottsburg, Indiana.
He was born July 1, 1942, in Salem, Indiana to Elmo and Ruby Brough Boling. He grew up in Salem, graduating high school there. He came to Scottsburg in 1973 and lived here until moving to Rising Sun in recent years. He worked for Weyerhaeuser, Bowater and Holm Industries. He served in Viet Nam while in the US Army. He enjoyed playing baseball, watching the Cincinnati Reds, gardening and fishing.
Ronnie is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Susan Marie Boling, his daughter, Amy Sue Boling and his sister, Imogene Boling Gasser.
Surviving to cherish his memories are his daughter, Lea Anne Boling Perry of Scottsburg, his grandsons, Brandon (Savannah) Stamper of Elizabeth, Indiana and Logan David Lee Perry of Columbus, Indiana, his soon to born great-grandson Paxtin Orville Stamper, and his niece, Cindy Gettelfinger.

Glen McVey, 81, passed away on March 25, 2025, in Paris Crossing, Indiana, on his family farm, surrounded by loved ones.
Glen McVey was born on January 13, 1944, in Millsboro, Kentucky, to the late John Paris McVey and Mabel (Harris) McVey. Glen graduated from Austin High School, in Austin, Indiana, where he developed a passion for basketball, which later evolved into a devoted Kentucky Wildcats Fan.
After graduation he married the love of his life Norma (Fox) McVey. The Lord blessed them with two talented sons (Donald and Douglas). He then had a successful career as an engine mechanic at Cummins Engine in Columbus, Indiana, where he retired in 1994. Following his retirement, Glen took up farming while continuing to be a dependable/loving father and grandfather.
He enjoyed spending time with friends and family and had a notable fondness for sweets. He would go to the ends of the earth to provide unconditional love, support and resources to his family. Glen had a unique ability to build and repair anything. He had a wonderful, easy laugh of his own, one that sparkled all the way to his beautiful blue eyes.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and seven sisters. Glen McVey is survived by his loving wife of over 62 years, Norma (Fox) McVey, two sons; Donald (Tammy) McVey of Paris Crossing, Indiana, and Douglas (Sara) McVey, of Traverse City, Michigan.
In addition to his wife and children Glen is survived by his brother; John McVey, of Scottsburg, Indiana, three grandchildren; Kristi McVey of Paris Crossing, Indiana and her fiancé Dr. Mark Ridner of Brentwood, Tennessee, Jacob (Meghan) McVey, of Paris Crossing, Indiana and Jessica (Jason) Dyer, of Madison, Indiana, four great-grandchildren; Chaunci Schumacher, Maecy, Miriam and Makenna McVey, four step great-grandchildren; Bailey Thurnall, Jessie, Casey and Jake Dyer; one step great-grandchild, William Thurnall.

Ronnie M. Bowman, Sr., 73, of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away Monday, March 24, 2025.
Born August 19, 1951 in Knott County, Kentucky to parents Clarence E. Bowman, Sr and Hattie E. Mullins-Bowman.
Raised in Austin, Indiana with siblings: Clarence, Jr (Bug), James, Carl, Dot, and Mike. He became a single father at 22 years old to his oldest son, Ronnie Jr. Ronnie worked for Vallejo Sylvania in Seymour, Indiana where he retired after 20+ years. He loved The Beatles and was extremely proud of his family, talking about them to anyone that would listen.
He was preceeded in death by his parents, wife Veronica (Ruth), 3 brothers, and sister. He is survived by brother James of Charelstown, IN, two sons Ronnie, Jr (Sandy) of Huntingburg, IN, Curtis Fosbrink (Elizabeth), of Columbus, IN, grandkids Chandler, Robert, and Braydon.
Funeral Service was Tuesday, April 1, 2025 at Buchanan Funeral Home in Austin, Indiana with Rev. Curtis White officiating.
Burial was at Bowman Family Cemetery in Austin, Indiana.

Dennis Earl Rabion, 67, of Madison, Indiana, entered this life on January 10, 1958 in Albany Georgia.
He was the son of the late John and Helen Laughter Rabion. He was raised all over and received his GED. Dennis was inducted into the United States Army on February 22, 1980 in San Antonio, Texas. He rose to the rate of Specialist Four serving in Company B, 2/34th Infantry Battalion. He was honorably discharged on February 23, 1983 at Fort Stewart, Georgia receiving the Army Service Ribbon and the Professional Development Ribbon. He had resided in Arizona, Texas, California, and moved here from Picayune, Mississippi. He was united in marriage on September 5, 2006 in Gatlinburg, Tennessee to Cathleen Nolan. They shared 19 happy years together. He had worked as a journeyman welder in ship yards and traveled a lot for his work. He was of the Christian faith and enjoyed reading his Bible. He loved the outdoors, nature, guns, motorcycles, and car auctions. Dennis died on Thursday, March 13, 2025, at 4:45 p.m. at his residence in Madison, Indiana.
Dennis will be missed by his loving his children, Caleb Rabion, Cassandra Rabion, and Brandi Rabion; his step sons, Matthew Cyrus and Christopher Cody Cyrus; 3-grandchildren and 1-step grandchild; his sister, Debbie Rabion; his brother in laws and sister in laws, Colleen Ralston and her husband, Bryan of Greenwood, Indiana, Corinne Martin of Deputy, Indiana, Carrie Whitehead and her husband, Scott of Lexington, Indiana, Chet Nolan of Madison, Indiana, Clarence Nolan, Jr. of Madison, Indiana, Chris Nolan and his wife, Jackie of Madison, Indiana; several nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his father, John Rabion, his mother, Helen Laughter Rabion, his brother, George Rabion, his brother in law, Charles Nolan, his father in law and mother in law, Clarence Sr. and Irma Isabelle Nolan.

Lisa Gail Helton, passed away on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at the age of 42. Her final moments were spent at Baptist Health Floyd Hospital in New Albany, Indiana, surrounded by the love of her family.
Born on April 20, 1982, in Scottsburg, Indiana, Lisa was the daughter of the late Rufus Napier and Carol (Hale) Sandlin.
On a day dedicated to love, February 14, 2008, Lisa married her soulmate, Steven Ray Helton.
Lisa was a member of the Broadway Church of God, where she found great solace and community. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, guiding her actions and providing comfort through life's trials and tribulations.
She leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish her memory: her children, Brady Michael Lesnet, Dustin Ray Helton, and Keisha Michell Caudill, all of Austin, Indiana, brother, Joey Lynn Napier of North Vernon, Indiana, stepmother, Sue Napier of Austin, will miss the light that Lisa brought into every family gathering.
Her role as a grandmother was one that Lisa embraced with all her heart. She adored her grandchildren, Addalyn Lesnet, Braxton Mullins, Izaiah Gladhart, Mason Lesnet, Easton Lesnet, Davonte May, and King May.
Cremation was chosen, honoring Lisa's wishes. A service to celebrate her life will be held at a later date,

Phillip Roger Beaver, 89, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 21, 2025.
Born on Wednesday, April 3, 1935, in Speed, Indiana, Phillip was a resident of Sellersburg for all of his life. Phillip entered eternity at his daughter Pam’s house in Borden, Indiana.
Phillip was a devoted husband to his wife, LaVeta A. Beaver, with whom he would have celebrated 62 years of marriage this June. Together, they built a strong and loving family. Phillip is survived by his children: Pamela Eaton (Tim), Shawn Beaver (Jill), Brent Beaver (Donna), Monty Beaver (Pam Byers), and Carol Chester (Mike). He also leaves behind a legacy of cherished grandchildren: Kynda Hensley, Megan Bonnet, Brandon Banet, Blaire Standiford, Travis Collins, Dallas Beaver, Ashley Miller, Zach Beaver, Jessica Carothers, Brittany Wallace, William Frost, Tiffany Hernandez and Chris Chester. Additionally, Phillip was a proud great-grandfather to many beloved great-grandchildren. His sisters, Jeri Hartman (Bob) and Mary Williams (James), survive him and mourn his passing alongside the rest of the family.
Phillip was preceded in death by his parents, Robert W. and Dorothy E. Beaver, his brothers, Donald and Dennis Beaver, and his son, Phillip Kannaple.
A man of service and dedication, Phillip proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He was also a former member of the American Legion Post 204. His career as a painter at the ICI Army Ammunition plant in Charlestown marked a notable period of his life until his retirement. After retiring from ICI, Phillip worked for many years at Sellersburg Liquor Store.
Phillip had a zest for life that was evident in his love for racing. He was a skilled driver, taking the wheel of the #90 car on the figure 8 race track at the Sportsdrome Speedway for many years. His passion for working on race cars and the thrill of the track was infectious to all who knew him. Beyond the racetrack, Phillip found joy in camping, spending seasonal time at Raintree Lake in Scottsburg, Indiana, creating many treasured memories with family and friends.
A funeral service was held at the Garr Funeral Home (7806 Highway 311, Sellersburg, Indiana 47172) on Friday, March 28. Military honors and burial followed the funeral at the Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Madison, Indiana.
Lieutenant Colonel (Ret.) Jerry G. Knudtson, 86 of Charlestown went to be with our Lord on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany, IN.
Jerry was born on April 20, 1938, in Aberdeen, Washington the son of Herbert and Louise Krause Knudtson.
He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in New Albany, Military Officer's organization, American Motorcyclist Organanation, a life member of the NRA, and a Kentucky Colonel. Jerry was a graduate of Fergus Falls High School in Minnesota, and the University of North Dakota with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Education, and a Master's Degree in Education. After completing the University of North Dakota Reserve Officer Training Program, LTC Knudston was commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant, USAR (Distinguished Military Graduate), at Fort Lewis, Washington.
Jerry started his working career as a teacher with the Minneapolis, Minnesota Public Schools. In 1969, he entered the U.S. Army Materiel Command Safety Management Intern Training Program. Following completion of this training program, he was employed as a Safety Engineer by the USAMC Field Safety Activity at Charlestown, Indiana, and the Army Proving Ground in Yuma, Arizona. After retirement from federal civil service in 1992, he became a college teacher of Mathematics and Physics at Ivy Tech and IUS where he remained active until 2009 and retired at the age of 70.
Jerry is survived by his daughter Kjersti Milliner and her husband Nick of Charlestown; son Joel Knudtson of Newburg, IN; granddaughter, Andrea Grider; great-grandchildren, Cayden Rogers, Declan Grider, and Hudson Grider.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Jean Rae Knudtson on November 15, 2016.
Life Celebration Services were held on Monday, March 24 at the Grace Lutheran Church 1787 Klerner Lane, New Albany, IN with burial in Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Madison, IN.

Casey Garland Chandler 45, of Louisville, KY, passed away on Wednesday, March 19, 2025.
Casey was born on March 5, 1980, in Louisville, KY, to loving parents Monte Chandler and Saundra Spears Chandler.
Casey’s passion for music was infectious; one of his favorite phrases was “listen to this,” as he turned up the volume. He cherished attending concerts and embraced the great outdoors through hiking, camping, and boating. A proud University of Louisville fan, Casey also enjoyed playing soccer during high school.
He is survived by his beloved son, Preston Chandler (Savannah Kirchgessner) of New Albany, IN; his parents Monte Chandler (Michele) of Louisville, KY, and Saundra Chandler (Tommy Perkins) of Charlestown, IN; and his siblings Heather Chandler of Charlestown, IN, Sarah Monroe (Zack) of Louisville, KY, and Samer Haider (Caroline Elders) of Louisville, KY, and Josh Masingo; nephew, Zayne of Louisville, KY, niece, Kendyl Kee, the mother of his son and friend, Janna Chandler.
A Life Celebration service was held on Wednesday, March 26 at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown, IN. Burial followed at Charlestown Cemetery.

Emily Sue (Roudenbush) Germain, 44, of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, March 23, 2025.
Born on September 18, 1980, in New Albany, Indiana, Emily was the daughter of Donald and Cynthia (Blasdel) Roudenbush. She graduated from North Harrison High School in 1999, demonstrating early on her dedication and passion for nurturing others.
Emily embarked on a lifelong career in childcare at the young age of 16, a testament to her unwavering love for children and her commitment to their growth and well-being. At the time of her passing, she was employed by Blue River Services, where she continued to make a positive impact in the lives of many.
Emily adored her husband and cherished her family above all else, often found surrounded by her nieces and nephews, whom she loved deeply. Her spirit shone brightest during family gatherings, especially on lake days that brought everyone together, making lasting memories.
Along with her parents, she is survived by her husband of 15 years, Michael Germain; her sisters, Stephanie Roudenbush and Monica Greer; and her treasured nieces and nephews, Jason, Kyle, Austin McCaffry, Charity Combs (fiancé, Cody Cottrell), Samuel Avis, Ella Greer, and Chelsea Bright.

Jane Lee (Lintzenich) DiNoto, 76, of Charlestown, Indiana, passed away peacefully with her husband by her side on March 22, 2025.
She was born on October 15, 1948, in Evansville, Indiana, the daughter of John and Mary Louise (Funke) Lintzenich.
Jane was a graduate of Reitz Memorial High School in Evansville, Indiana. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Indiana State University and master’s degree from Indiana University.
Jane was a dedicated and beloved math teacher for over 40 years, inspiring generations of students at Charlestown Middle and High School. She also taught at Indiana University Southeast and Ivy Tech, further sharing her passion for education. Throughout her long career, Jane was known for her commitment to her students and her ability to make complex subjects enjoyable.
As a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Jane found strength and solace in her faith. She often shared her home with many furry companions. Her love for animals was well known.
Jane had a creative spirit and one of her unique talents was decorating the yard outside their home. With the help of her husband, they transformed the walkway into a stunning display that became a beloved part of the neighborhood's charm and curb appeal.
In her free time, Jane enjoyed scrapbooking and paper crafting, preserving memories that captured her family's love and the joy she found in life's special moments. She loved to travel, frequently visiting lighthouses on her many trips. Jane was very proud to say she had visited 49 states and state capitals plus several countries.
In addition to her parents, Jane was preceded in death by her sister, Judith Unfried.
She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Frank DiNoto; daughter, Jennifer Kaiser (Rob); sister, Joanne Stieler of Evansville; two brothers, Jack Lintzenich of Miamisburg, OH and Jim Lintzenich (Marybeth) of Mt. Pleasant, SC.
Her funeral service was held on Saturday, March 29 at Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Parkway, Jeffersonville, Indiana 47130. Burial followed at Walnut Ridge Cemetery.
Kenneth "Kenny" Martin Pankey, 85, of Underwood, Indiana passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on Thursday, March 20, 2025.
Kenny was born in New Albany, Indiana on July 10, 1939, to the late Erchell Pankey and Helen Louise (Wisehart) Pankey. Kenny was proudly raised by two women in his life, Helen Pankey and his grandmother Mary Belle Wisehart, who held a very special place in his heart.
He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy and served during the Vietnam Era. Kenny was a retired Pipefitter/Hvac Tech and a former member of the Local 502 Pipefitters as a Senior Boilermaker. Kenny was the definition of being a "Jack of all Trades".
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents; his loving grandmother, Mary Bell Wisehart.
Kenneth is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Nancy A. (Dixon) Pankey; his loving daughters, Marcy (Darryl) Middleton and Annette (Kevin) Robertson; grandchildren, Amanda (Justin), Ashley (Josh), Isaac (Brittney), Kaleb, Haley, Abigail, and Kasey; great grandchildren, Lydia, Kai, Jayden, Hadley, Maeley Sue, and Blakely Rose.
His funeral service was held at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana on Friday, March 28. A private burial was held at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.

David Bradley Goodwin, 55, a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 21, 2025.
Born in Jeffersonville, Indiana, on Monday, July 28, 1969, David was a cherished resident of Marysville, Indiana.
David is survived by his loving children, Dustin Goodwin (Amanda) of Marysville, and Megan Goodwin, who brought immense joy to his life. He also leaves behind his devoted siblings, Jeff Goodwin and wife Christine, and Laura Gregory and husband Robert. David was a proud grandfather to Malaya, Mason, Mavalee, Lucas, and Madilynn, who were his pride and joy. Also he was looking forward to the birth of another granddaughter who is on the way.
David was the son of the late David L. Goodwin and Westa Goodwin, who instilled in him the values and virtues that defined his life. A graduate of Charlestown Highschool, he went on to work as a dedicated sanitation worker, a career that spanned many years and left a lasting impact on all who knew him.
A man of simple pleasures, David loved fishing, attending auctions, and found immense happiness in the smiles and laughter of his grandchildren. His passion for old country music and his love for John Deere were well known among friends and family. A true patriot, David carried his love for his country with quiet pride.
Friends and family are invited to celebrate David's life during a visitation at the Garr Funeral Home in (7806 Highway 311, Sellersburg, Indiana 47172) on Thursday, April 3 from noon to 1 p.m. A graveside service will take place at Charlestown Cemetery following the visitation.

Mima “Lou” Meyer, 85, a cherished resident of Sellersburg, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 25, 2025.
Born on a sunny Saturday, May 25th, 1939, in Oatsville, Indiana, Lou was a beacon of warmth, creativity, and devotion throughout her life.
A loving homemaker, Lou found immense joy in her family and her community. She was a faithful member of the Bluelick Christian Church of Memphis, Indiana. Her hands were often busy with crafts and ceramics, beautifully showcasing her boundless creativity. A dedicated bingo enthusiast, Lou enjoyed gathering with friends, sharing laughter and creating enduring memories.
Lou was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Lawrence Meyer; her father, John Phillips; her mother, Dorothy Christmas; her brother, John Phillips; her sister, Colleen Smith; her grandmother, Jessie Hughes; and her mother-in-law, Laura Meyer. Despite these profound losses, she maintained a steadfast spirit and deep commitment to her family.
She leaves behind a rich legacy through her loving family: her sons, Donnie R. Meyer and Brian K. Meyer (Jana); her treasured grandchildren, Aimee Radford (Chris), Ryan Meyer (Shauna) and Tiffany Hall (George); and her adored great-grandchildren, Zoe Radford, Grayson Meyer, Landon Meyer, Brayden Meyer and Sophia Hall. She is also survived by her dear sister, Rosemary Stone (Larry), who shared in her life's journey with love and laughter.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, April 1 at Garr Funeral Home (7806 Highway 311, Sellersburg, Indiana 47172) with interment following at Sellersburg Cemetery.

Harold Wayne Morris, 73, of Clarksville, Indiana, died peacefully at his home on Monday, March 24, 2025 after a brief illness.
He was born in Louisville, Kentucky, on August 28, 1951, to the late Mildred and Maurice Morris. He was a retired driver for the Greater Clark County Schools in Clarksville and a member of Lexington Christian Church in Lexington, Indiana for over 15 years where he served as an Elder and Song Leader. He will forever be remembered as a jokester with a wonderful sense of humor, full of quick wit and comebacks.
Aside from his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Morris. He is survived by his loving wife, Judy Tyler Morris, who took tremendous care of him in his final days, making sure he got all the care he needed until his final breath. He is also survived by a son, Harold (Hal) Wayne Morris II of Lexington, Kentucky; his loving daughter-in-law Lissa (Holland), who always made sure to have egg salad ready for his visits. Two of the brightest shining lights in his life were his grandsons, Samuel Edward and Joshua Len. No matter where it was, Wayne always made an effort to see his boys in whatever school activity or sport in which they were participating. It was always special when Papaw came in from out of town to them. He is also survived by his three step sons, Jimmy Tyler of Clarksville, Indiana, Jonathon Tyler and his wife Cindy of Beech Grove, Indiana and Jacob Tyler of Clarksville, Indiana.
Wayne also enjoyed singing karaoke and showing off his God-given ability to belt out a tune, especially his favorite band, The Beatles. And he, of course, loved cheering on his Kentucky Wildcats. He was able to listen to the Cats beat Illinois on Sunday and surely cheered them on from Heaven for the rest of the tournament.
Wayne is also survived by three sisters, Pat Dohoney of Louisville; Carol (Charlie) Strange of Louisville; and Edna Patterson of Olaton, Kentucky; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and friends
Services were held on Saturday, March 29 at Lexington Christian Church located at 2604 S Alexander St Lexington, Indiana.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be directed to Lexington Christian Church.

PRISCILLA ELLEN MEDLOCK, 88, Orleans, passed away Friday, March 21, 2025 at her residence.
She was born July 10, 1936 in Campbellsburg, the daughter of Jesse Lyman and Olive Ruth Thrall Westfall. She was a seamstress and a member of Carters Creek Christian Church.
Priscilla married James Howard Medlock on August 22, 1953.
Priscilla is survived by her husband. Son: Ronald Lee Medlock (Betty), Pearlington, Mississippi. Niece/Adopted Daughter: Michelle Bruska (Chris), Orleans, Indiana. Grandchildren: Sheri Dawn Cornett of Joplin, Missouri, Bryson Aden Medlock of Houston, Texas, and Jaime Deanne Taghi of Plainfield, Indiana. She has 8 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother Jerry Lee Westfall, and sister Barbara Rose Thrall.
Funeral services were Monday, March 24 at Weathers Funeral Home, officiated by Darrin Chastain and Ronald Medlock. Burial followed in Claysville Cemetery.
LARRY JOE COOPER, 79, Hardinsburg, passed away Friday, March 21 at his home.
He was born March 30, 1945, in Paoli, the son of Henry and Loraine Ridener Cooper. He was a retired employee of Childcraft.
Larry is survived by his daughters: Lisa Shelton of Salem, Kristy Lewis (Gary) of Pekin, and Amanda Cooper of Salem, 7 grandchildren: Alicia Booker, Kyle Shelton (Destiny), Aaron Lewis (Erica), Austin Cooper, Garrett Cooper, Halle Shelton, and Gracie Lewis, and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother: Bud Cooper, five sisters: Dorothy Farris, Rose Greene, Rita Wininger, Linda Vanlaningham, and Darlene Goodman and his parents.
Visitation was Wednesday, March 26 at Weathers Funeral Home. Cremation followed.
DOLORES J. RICHIE, 79, of Hoover, Alabama, passed away peacefully on March 17, 2025.
Born on July 23, 1946, in Salem, Dolores graduated from Pekin High School before going on to earn her degree from California State University at Fullerton, where she also obtained a master’s in business administration.
On August 15, 1965, she married David Richie, and together they shared a wonderful life. Dolores dedicated 33 years to working in Accounting at Titan Coatings, Inc. in Bessemer, Alabama.
In her personal life, Dolores had a deep passion for golf and yoga, both of which brought her joy and fulfillment.
She spent many happy hours as a child next door on the farm of her grandparents, Homer and Pearl Borders, picking strawberries and otherwise helping with chores on the family farm.
She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Lloyd and Frances Brown of Pekin, Indiana, and in-laws, Jack and Marie Richie of New Albany, Indiana, with whom she enjoyed a very special and close relationship.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 59 years, David Richie; her beloved children, Kimberly Ann Edwards (Stevan) and Tabitha Ann (Abby) Richie, who will cherish her memory.

BARBARA L. GILSTRAP, 80, Salem, passed away on Sunday, March 23, 2025 at Baptist East, surrounded by her family.
She was born February 7, 1945 in Mount Vernon, Kentucky, the daughter of Clarence and Effie Doan Hasty. She was retired from Smith Cabinet.
Barbara is survived by her sons, Jonathon Gilstrap (Ashley) of Salem, Darrell Fultz (Sheila) of Salem, Richard Fultz (Heather) of Salem and Michael Scott Fultz of Salem. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. Ms. Gilstrap is also survived by her companion, Jack David Hobson of Campbellsburg. She is also survived by her sister in laws, Cynthia and Brenda Hasty.
She is preceded by her parents, her daughter Myle Carter, her brothers: Jack Hasty, Windell Hasty, Homer Hasty, Billy Hasty, Clarence (Jib) Hasty, Tilmon Hasty and a sister, Gertrude McClure. She is also preceded by two great grandchildren, Wrenleigh and Ayden.
Services were Saturday, March 29 at Weathers Funeral Home. Burial followed at Crown Hill Cemetery will follow after the funeral service.
DORIS MAE (ENDRES) SMITH was born on April 21, 1943, in New Albany, IN, to Theodore Endres and Lillian (Frederick) Mosier. She was a 1961 graduate of Morgan Township High School and spent much of her life dedicated to her family and home. Doris worked as a homemaker, where she found joy in nurturing her loved ones and creating a warm and loving environment.
On September 15, 1963, Doris married Gary Smith. Together, they built a life in Palmyra, where Doris was a member of the South Liberty Church of Christ. She had a deep faith and cherished her time with her church family.
Doris loved to spend her days gardening, crocheting, cooking, and canning, hobbies that brought her great satisfaction. She also enjoyed singing and found much joy in the company of her family and friends. Her kind spirit, and warm heart made her beloved by all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her son, Ted Smith; and her brother-in-law, Jack Schuman.
Doris is survived by her devoted husband, Gary Smith; daughter, Kathy (Pete) Barry; sister, Pearl Schuman; brother, Dennis Mosier; daughter-in-law, Jane Smith; grandchildren: Brandon (Natalie) Smith, Zach (Michaela) Smith, Emily (Austin) Leupp, Luke Barry, Rachel Smith, Elana (Anthony) Taylor, Anna Smith, Erin Barry; and great-grandchildren: Katie, Abigail, Lincoln, Elora, Felicity, Alaric, Honor, Valor, Adamar, Blaire, Wrenley, and Rowan.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 30, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and again on Monday, March 31, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Love Funeral Home in Palmyra, IN.
A funeral service was Monday, March 31, 2025, with burial at Martinsburg Cemetery in Martinsburg.
DOROTHY L. GREEN JOHNSON, 92, Salem, passed away Saturday, March 22, 2025 in Salem Crossing Nursing Home.
Born February 20, 1933 in Salem, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Clare Patrick and Hester L. (Sullivan) Winslow.
She was a retired employee, after 47 years of the old Smith Cabinet Manufacturing Company in Salem and was a member of the Eastview Church of Christ.
On September 26, 1950 she married Mike M. Green, who passed away August
24, 2004.
In 2007 she married Carl R. Johnson, who survives.
Also surviving are: Several nieces and nephews; 1 brother: Ivan E. (Glendle) Winslow of Arkansas; 3 step daughters and several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren.
Private Services were held and Dorothy was laid to rest in Crown Hill Cemetery.
