Sharon was an addition to Amos Publishing Media when The Washington County Herald started. She also writes for The Scott and Clark County Heralds. Sharon’s background includes 12 years in broadcast media, working at I105.3 WMPI as a news anchor/news director and deejay. When she left radio, Sharon decided to fulfill her dream of becoming a Realtor. She is licensed in Indiana and working on obtaining a Florida license. She is somewhat of a renaissance woman having education and work history in several fields. Sharon says that she loves to learn and believes just having the knowledge is a blessing, whether she works in the field or not. Sharon is a published author, having written two real estate books and created themed workbooks for early childhood education. “Journalism is in my blood and I love it. I couldn’t imagine not writing in some aspect." Sharon remarked how she is grateful that she can work at her two great loves; journalism and real estate.Â
Sharon grew up in Clark County. After graduating from Silver Creek High School, she moved to Scott County, where her husband Chris resided. It is in Scott County where she raised her daughters, Synthia and Krista.Â
